Although it has been conceived to cook the popcorn, the Whirley Pop is internationally considered, by connoisseurs and enthusiasts, the best tool for the manual coffee roasting (fully described in the book Home Coffee Roasting, considered the bible by home coffee roasting lovers).

The Whirley Pop can be considered a worthy heir to the old coffee roasters once a standard in many households and then fell into disuse with the advent of the consumerism society.
Unlike hot air electric roasters, the Whirley Pop allows to rediscover the valuable and ancient practice of manual roasting and dominate all the variables that matter in creating a superb quality "cooked" coffee.

Originally conceived to cook popcorn at home on the stovetop (and I assure you it works very well for this purpose), the Whirley Pop is arguably the best tool for eco-roasting at home.
In pure aluminum, with a capacity of 6 liters and with wooden handle and knobs, the Whirley Pop can toast in a single solution from 170 to 250 grams of coffee, almost 2-3 times more than the more expensive traditional electric roasters.
The method of roasting with the Whirley Pop proposed by Orto sul Terrazzo, perfect for roasting a perfect espresso, allows to modulate the process of roasting and obtain a varied range of flavors and aromas.
Once placed on the stovetop the Whirley Pop can produce, without the use of electricity, a fragrant roasted coffee. Simply place the pot on the stovetop and once adjusted the gas, get in just 6 minutes the first crack and the second crack in about 9-12 minutes, after which, according to your tastes, you can get the roast you desired.
1) The method of roasting proposed by Orto sul Terrazzo inevitably produces smoke. To obviate this drawback, it is advisable to turn on the cooker hood;
2) Check the temperature of the pot, following the instructions in our manual "Toast coffee with Whirley Pop" to avoid burning the coffee and damaging the transmission mechanism of plastic.
